Sådan bruger du Femometer Ivy Digital Ovulation Test incl 15 digital tests + Femometer Vinca II Thermometer

Read the user manual thoroughly.

Download the Femometer app. Remove the cap from your Femometer Ivy and turn on Bluetooth. Pair it with the app (it will do this automatically after the first time).

Insert the test strip into your Femometer Ivy until the entire arrow disappears.

Urinate in a clean and dry container. Hold the tip of your test strip in the urine sample for 15 seconds and put the Ivy cap back on.

Place your Femometer Ivy on a clean and dry surface and wait for the result. The LED light will blink during the process, and after about 10 minutes, you will hear a beep.

Read the clear answer on your Femometer Ivy, where minus (-) indicates low fertility, plus (+) indicates high fertility, and ++ indicates ovulation. The data will also sync with your Femometer app, where you can also read the result. If you test over several days, you will be able to see the development of your ovulation curve in the app.

How to use the Femometer Vinca II Thermometer:

Measure your temperature every morning as soon as you wake up and before getting out of bed. Remove the cap of the thermometer and turn on your app. Wait for the app to pair with the thermometer. Place the thermometer under your tongue and wait 1-3 minutes until you hear three beeps, indicating that the test is finished measuring.

Read the result on the LCD screen and view it in the Femometer app*. After several measurements, you will see a curve of your temperature, and the app will analyze your data and provide times when you are expected to ovulate. It will also give you recommendations on when to start using ovulation tests if needed.

Once you know your cycle and ovulation, you will know the best time to have sex to increase the chance of pregnancy.

The Femometer app can be downloaded and used for free. You can use Vinca II with the free version of the app.

When should you start testing with an ovulation test?

It is recommended to start testing for ovulation 2-3 days before the expected ovulation. Ovulation generally occurs 14 days before your menstruation starts. So, if your cycle is 28 days long, you should start testing for ovulation on day 11 or 12 (day 1 being the first day of your last menstruation). If you don't know the length of your cycle yet, it is recommended to start testing on day 10 or 11 of your cycle.

How do ovulation tests work?

The ovulation test measures the concentration of the ovulation-inducing hormone LH (luteinizing hormone). 24-36 hours before ovulation, the LH hormone rises significantly, and if you test with an ovulation test, your test will show a positive result when the hormone has risen in connection with your ovulation. You can recognize a positive ovulation test when the test line is as dark or even darker than the control line. See examples of a positive ovulation test on Femometer Ivy in the product images.

My ovulation test is positive - when is the best time to have intercourse if I want to get pregnant?

When your ovulation test becomes positive, it is recommended to have intercourse on the same day and the following 24 hours to maximize the chance of pregnancy. Before the ovulation test becomes completely positive, it is also advantageous to have intercourse because sperm can survive inside the woman's uterus for up to 5 days. If one of these sperm cells encounters an egg after ovulation, it can fertilize the egg and result in pregnancy.

How can the Basal Body Temperature (BBT) method show when a person is most fertile?

In short, a woman's temperature rises by 0.2 to 0.5 degrees Celsius per day after ovulation due to the hormone progesterone. The temperature remains at this elevated level in the latter part of the menstrual cycle until menstruation begins, and then the cycle starts anew. This means that if a person measures their temperature daily, they will also be able to see when they have ovulated and have the highest chance of becoming pregnant through intercourse or insemination.
