SwimCount Sperm Quality Test

The SwimCount Sperm Quality Test is a user-friendly at-home test that provides you or your partner with results on sperm quality in just 30 minutes.

Danish SwimCount's Sperm Quality Test provides results in 30 minutes, indicating whether sperm quality is normal or reduced.

The test is 95% accurate compared to a sperm sample that a fertility doctor would analyze under a microscope. SwimCount Sperm Quality Test can be used as an alternative to the initial visit to the doctor.

SwimCount Sperm Quality Test measures motile sperm cells, which are sperm cells capable of swimming and reaching the woman's egg for fertilization. So, if the number of these sperm cells is reduced, it can be more challenging for the man to fertilize the woman. Other sperm tests on the market also measure dead, deformed, and non-motile sperm cells, which will never be able to fertilize an egg. Therefore, it can be difficult to use the results of these tests for a practical answer.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a man should have more than 5 million PMSCs/ml. If your sperm quality test shows a low result, it means that you or your partner had less than 5 million PMSCs/ml in that sperm sample. This indicates that you or he may have difficulty impregnating a woman.

Femometer FSH Menopause Test

10-20% of all couples or individuals trying to conceive experience a period of involuntary infertility, also known as infertility. This means attempting to get pregnant for more than 1-2 years without success.

There can be many reasons for this, including early menopause, which is indicated by a high level of the hormone FSH in women (Follicle-Stimulating Hormone). If your ovaries are functioning at a reduced capacity, and there are not many viable eggs left in the ovaries, your body will increase the concentration of FSH (the follicle-stimulating hormone).

With our Femometer FSH Menopause Test, you can measure your FSH levels and determine if they are too high and may affect your fertility. A high result suggests that you have entered menopause. If your FSH hormone level is elevated and you desire to become pregnant, you should consult your doctor to confirm the result and plan the next steps.

Femometer FSH Menopause Test is CE-marked and 97% reliable.

Sådan bruger du SwimCount Sperm quality Test + Femometer FSH Menopause Test

SwimCount Sperm Quality Test

Read the user manual.

Remove the test from the packaging.

Produce your sperm sample in the sperm cup and let it stand for 30 minutes.

After the 30 minutes, agitate the sperm sample 10 times with the syringe.

Draw up 0.5 ml with the syringe.

Place the test unit on a flat surface and add the sperm sample to the filling chamber marked as "1."

Push the slide handle forward until you hear a click.

Wait for 30 minutes.

Then pull the slide handle back until you hear a click.

Read the result in the test window. Compare the color of the result with the table in the user manual to get an answer about the quality of your sperm.

There are two chambers in the device, and only the progressive motile sperm cells can swim from chamber 1 to chamber 2. The progressive motile sperm cells are stained with a dye in chamber 2, producing color in the result window. The more progressive motile sperm cells in the sperm sample, the darker the color becomes.

Femometer FSH Menopause Test

Take the test on day 3 of your cycle (day 1 being the first day of menstruation).

Read the user manual thoroughly.

Remove the test from the sealed package.

Hold the test with the tip pointing downward and insert it directly into the urine stream or into a urine sample, keeping it there for 10-15 seconds. Do not exceed the maximum line.

Place the test with the test field pointing upward on a flat and level surface.

Read the result after 10 minutes.

If the test line does not appear or is less distinct than the control line, the test is negative. If the test line is as strong or stronger than the control line, the test is positive, indicating elevated FSH levels, which is an indicator of reduced egg reserve and ovarian function. Confirm the result with a doctor.

Frequently asked questions

Her finder du vores FAQ om SwimCount Sperm quality Test + Femometer FSH Menopause Test

SwimCount works by measuring how many of your sperm cells can swim, specifically the progressive motile sperm cells. SwimCount is based on a completely new and patented technology developed by the Danish company Motilitycount ApS. There are three chambers in the device. Only the progressive motile sperm cells can swim from chamber number 1 (Sample Chamber) to chamber number 2 (Separation Chamber). The progressive motile sperm cells are stained with a dye in chamber number 2, which produces the color in chamber number 3 (Detection and Result Window). The more progressive motile sperm cells in the sperm sample, the darker the color becomes in the detection and result window. Produce a sperm sample in the provided sperm cup. Add the sperm sample to the SwimCount™ Test using the provided pipette. After 30 minutes, you can see in the result window whether your sperm quality is above or below the WHO's threshold for low/good sperm quality (5 million progressive motile sperm cells per milliliter). SwimCount™ is 95% accurate compared to the result a fertility doctor would measure by analyzing your sperm sample under a microscope. If the result in SwimCount™ indicates that your sperm quality is low, you should contact your doctor for further testing.
Yes, the following factors can interfere with the result: Taking the test too soon after your last ejaculation (there should be at least 2 days since the last ejaculation, but not more than a maximum of 5 days) to obtain the most accurate result. If there is not precisely 0.5 ml of the sperm sample collected in the syringe.
SwimCount™ has an accuracy rate of 95% compared to a sperm sample analyzed by a fertility doctor under a microscope. Therefore, SwimCount Sperm Quality Test can be used as an alternative to the initial visit to the doctor. SwimCount™ has a sensitivity of 96% and specificity of 91%. This means that if the test indicates that your sperm has more than 5 million progressive motile sperm cells per ml, it is 96% likely that the test result is correct. If the test shows that your sperm has less than 5 million progressive motile sperm cells per ml, it is 91% likely that the result is correct
If the menopause test is positive, we encourage you to consult with a doctor to confirm the result. If you have a desire to become pregnant, it may be necessary to seek fertility treatment as soon as possible.
Most women who enter menopause early will find it challenging to conceive. This is because fertility begins to decline about 10 years before menopause sets in. If you enter menopause at the age of 38, your fertility may have already been similar to that of a 40-year-old woman when she reaches menopause at the average age of 52 in Denmark when you were 28. According to Rigshospitalet (Copenhagen University Hospital), approximately half of women in early menopause will occasionally experience spontaneous ovulation. If a woman has unprotected intercourse during ovulation, Rigshospitalet estimates that 5-10% may become pregnant. Therefore, the recommendation is to consider fertility treatments such as insemination, assisted reproductive technology, or egg donation if you have a desire for pregnancy and have entered menopause early.
