Bio-Calcium+D3+K1+K2 from Pharma Nord is a dietary supplement with calcium and vitamins D and K. The tablets have a peppermint flavor and can be swallowed or chewed. The dietary supplement contains both calcium, vitamin D and vitamin K, all of which help to maintain bones.

Calcium, also known as lime, is the mineral that we have most of in the body and is necessary for us to maintain normal bones and teeth. In addition, the dietary supplement also contains vitamin D, which contributes to a normal absorption of calcium, while vitamin K helps bind calcium in the bone tissue.

Recommendation for pregnant women

Calcium is very important for the bones. This applies both to your own, but also to the bones of your/your future child if you are pregnant.

The Danish Health Authority therefore recommends that pregnant women either:

• Drinks or eats ½ liter of milk product per day
• or takes a daily calcium supplement of 500 mg throughout the pregnancy

Daily dose:

2 tablets daily for adults and children aged 11 and over. You can advantageously divide the daily dose into two meals to strengthen absorption. If the daily dose is taken for a single meal, it is best to choose the meal that contains the least iron to limit the inhibitory effect of calcium on iron absorption.
