The Femometer FSH Menopause Test is a home test that detects elevated FSH levels in a woman's urine. The test measures the amount of Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), which is a hormone that increases during menopause.

10-20% of all couples or singles experience a period of involuntary childlessness. In other words, you try to get pregnant in vain for more than 1-2 years without success.
The reasons can be many. Among other things, early menopause, which manifests itself in a high amount of the hormone FSH in the woman (Follicle Stimulating Hormone). If the ovaries are running at reduced function and there are not many eggs capable of fertilization left in the ovaries, your body will increase the FSH concentration.
With our FSH Menopause test from Femometer, you can measure your FSH level (and find out whether it is too high and can therefore have an impact on your fertility. If you get a positive result and thus have an elevated level of the FSH hormone you should see your doctor to confirm the result.

Here's how you do it
- Take the test on day 3 of your cycle (day 1 is the first day of your period)
- Read the user manual
- Take the test on day 3 of your cycle. Preferably use morning urine
- Remove the test from the sealed package
- Hold the test with the wet tip pointing down and insert it directly into the urine stream or into a urine sample and hold it there for 10-15 seconds. Do not exceed the max line.
- Place the test with the test field pointing upwards on a flat and level surface
- Read the result after 10 minutes.
- If the test line does not appear or if it is less clear than the control line, then the test is negative. If the test line is as strong or stronger than the control line, then the test is positive and your FSH level is elevated, which is an indicator of reduced egg reserve and reduced ovarian function. According to Rigshospitalet, 1-2% of all women experience early menopause. This means they have elevated sex hormones and stop menstruating before the age of 40.
De fleste kvinder, som går tidligt i overgangsalder vil opleve, at det er svært at blive gravid.
